Hot Hot Hot!
Before some of us are scattered to the wind, we need to get together! It will also be a chance to offer well wishes to those who will be graduating the following day.
Date: Friday, May 2nd
Time: 7pm
Cooking Theme: All things Caribbean. There are no excuses - West Indian groceries are a dime a dozen in Palm Bay!

Location: 162 Emerson Drive NW, Palm Bay 32907
*Go west on Palm Bay Road until it ends (about a mile west of I-95 interchange)
*Turn left onto Minton Road, and then immediately get into the right lane
*Turn right onto Emerson Drive (CVS will be on your right)
*Go 2.2 miles, and #162 will be on the left. If you pass Lamplighter Road, you've gone too far.
Disclaimer: My house will be on the market at that time and I'm already starting to do some packing...so it's not quite as fun and cosy as it once was - more like generic hotel-room appearance! But plenty of space and little ones are most welcome of course. Kemari and I will be moving up to New England in July (whenever I get my research and comps done!!)
By the way, the calpyso song "Hot Hot Hot" was written by the Montserratian legend "Arrow"!

Thanks for celebrating the Chinese New Year with us. Its our pleasures to demonstrate some Chinese Spirit : ) I hope you all had a good time in our house. I will post the pictures as soon as I upload them.

March Cooking Club dinner?
I'll have hopefully settled into my apartment by March and would love to host a Cooking Club dinner. I'm debating about either the evening of March 9th or the 16th (with a St. Patrick's Day theme). I'm thinking it would be nice to have Irish and Southerner foods as the dishes for the get-together, but I'm open to anything. It's probably too early to ask which date is better, so I'll just let everybody ponder it for now.

February Cooking Club
Hi Folks!
Chi-jung and I want to invit you all to our apartment (map, above) to celebrate Chinese New Year. The closest Saturday to Chinese New Year is the 9th of February. Let's meet around 6:30 p.m.
You don't need to cook a dish, but please bring an item to add to the hot-pots (we'll have one with meat and one without). Traditional items include: Thinly sliced pork, beef, or lamb; fish balls (or vegi fish balls); Chinese cabbage; greenbean noodles; rice noodles; corn; mushrooms; bok choy; firm tofu; dumplings.
We can also add the cats...another traditional food :)
For desert, there will be sesame balls and rice balls.
Beverages and folding-chairs welcome!
